I would rather say that the future of the young girls in Nigeria is getting ruined by their own fathers. Girls are lured by money because of so many reasons.
The girls in Nigeria believe that older married men are not HIV positive, assuming they've been faithful to their wife with their little experience about life.
The relationships typically end in a matter of weeks or months when the man loses interests. And because he can afford as many girls as possible as some men here say “they just too many and you can get them with little money”. Most girls interviewed in four states in Nigeria said that when a girl opts to leave the relationship she might end up being raped.
In most cases in return for the satisfaction of the sexual desires of these men girls get money and they sometimes spend on necessities such as money to assist their poor families, schoolbooks or food, but also on luxuries like "trendy clothing, furnishings of their apartments or school hotels, cell phones, and hairstyles. Because men dominate the society the girls are forced to do that in order to meet up to standards.
This is a very serious issue in Nigeria now and it is getting to be the ultimate standard eating through the lives of Nigerian girls who do not have option because nobody is protecting their interests.
It has to be talked about for more people to see the dangers of these acts by these men and also for young girls to know that it is not for their own good. Teachings these girls more about their bodies, how HIV spreads and how they can prevent these from happening will also help in boosting their image
