Promoting Girl Child Education

GCAF is aimed at promoting girl child education, rights of the girl child, Health and Hygiene of the girl child including HIV/AIDS awareness programs, capacity building for Nigerian youths, peer education among youths through all forms of arts especially through the media.

Creativity and talent display is our utmost pride. Our solutions are all based on our ideas and the inspiration from our immediate environment.

Collaborating with Local and International Agencies and Partners

GCAF in collaboration with Local and International Agencies and partners is also executing programmes, which assist in improving the economic condition of the Nigerian girl, using strategies that are of interest to a modern day Nigerian girl who is vulnerable to trafficking, HIV/AIDS, Violence against girls and all forms of discrimination as a result of their poor economic condition and ignorance.

Skills Trainings

The strategies used include Skills trainings, talent hunt, practical classes, conferences, workshops, arts festival, concerts, arts exhibitions and awareness on issues through performing Arts, economic Skills training, Personal empowerment /literacy education, and Education and Training of girls as future women.

GCAF has been able to observe the level of response to HIV/AIDS in Nigeria through our close relationship with our members particularly during training classes, and the experience recorded from the inaugural exhibition of “Voice of a Nigerian Girl 2003” (VONG) and cartoon for life-where young girls expressed their views on their immediate problems in the society including HIV/AIDS.
